Select Installation File or Folder

The Select Installation File or Folder dialog appears in a number of situations that require a file or folder, for example as the target of a shortcut. It allows you to browse for the desired file or folder.

Note: Depending on the context, this dialog box is used to select either a file or a folder, or only to select a file. In the latter case, the dialog's Select button will remain disabled (grayed out) until you select a file.

Dialog fields and options

The dialog displays a folders tree and a file list side-by-side, similar to the Files and folders page. You can browse the tree and list to select the desired file or folder.
