Registry value data are empty

The indicated registry value has no data specified. This may be as intended, but it could also be an oversight.

Background

Most installation and removal actions require a non-empty value to function correctly. Exceptions are the Do not install, Do not remove, Remove completely, and Restore original actions, which will succeed even without values. Those that require data will generally function even if the data are empty, but the results may not be what you expected.

Solution

If the registry value must be installed or removed, you should specify non-empty data for it. If the data is localized, it should have non-empty translations for each target language. If the data are intentionally left empty, you can ignore this message.
