Select Object

The Select Object dialog box appears in a number of situations where a selection from the available project items is required. It allows you to select the desired object.

Note: The dialog's title varies depending on the type of object that is to be selected and is usually Select Object Type, where Object Type indicates the type of object selection.

Dialog fields and options

The dialog contains a list that displays all available objects of the required type. Select the desired object in this list. In some situations, multiple objects may be selected; in that caes, you can use Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click to select individual objects or contiguous ranges of objects.
