Project Properties - General

The Project Properties - General dialog box appears when you choose the File > Properties command from the main menu bar. It displays information about the current InstallMate project file.

Dialog fields and options

This dialog box contains the following fields and options.

Attribute Description
Product The product name. This is the same as the Product name field on the Product info page.
Publisher The product's publisher's name. This is the same as the Publisher field on the Product info page.
File path The fully qualified path to the project file, usually with an .im9 file name extension. To store the project file elsewhere, use the File > Save Project As... command.
File size The size of the project file on disk. This does not include any slack space caused by the underlying file system's cluster size.
Created Date and time that the project file was created, in your local long date/time format.
Saved Date and time that the project file was last saved, in your local long date/time format. Note that this date and time would appear as "Modified" in the Windows Explorer Properties dialog.
Modified (text field) Date and time that the project was last modified in memory, in your local long date/time format. This date and time is the same as the Saved date and time if the project has not changed since it was opened or saved; it is more recent if there are unsaved changes to the project.
Modified (check box) If checked, the project has been modified since it was opened or saved. In that case, the Modified date and time will be more recent than the Saved date and time.
Read-only If checked, the project is opened in read-only mode, either because the project file has its Read-only attribute set, or because you checked Open as read-only when you opened the project file. You can make changes to the project, but you must save the changes to a different file. (InstallMate will remind you of this when you try to save the file normally.)
