Maximum number of files for MSI distribution exceeded

You project contains more than 32767 installation files; this is the maximum that MSI can handle. As a result, the installation package cannot be completed.

Background information

The MSI database schema uses signed 16-bit integers for installation file sequence numbers, thus restricting the number of files to 2¹⁵ - 1 = 32767.

Solution

Remove some installation files from your project or build an InstallMate package.
