Duplicate object name/alias/key %s

The indicated object has the same alias as another object of the same type. However, InstallMate requires that each installation object has a unique alias within the type. As a result, InstallMate database creation will fail. A subsequent BLD:Q0017 message identifies the duplicate object.

Solution

Make sure that each object of a given type has a unique alias. Whenever you create a new object, InstallMate automatically assigns a unique alias to the objects. However, if you manually edit an object's alias or copy and paste objects within a project, duplicate object aliases may result.

As a quick way to assign unique aliases to a group of objects, select the objects, right-click on one of them, and select Generate Unique Alias from the popup menu.
