Project - Shortcuts page

The functionality of the Tarma QuickInstall 2 Project - Shortcuts page has been merged with the Files and folders project page in InstallMate. You can now easily create shortcuts in any installation folder. See Shortcut attributes for common shortcut folders.

Standard locations shortcuts from the Tarma QuickInstall 2 project are automatically converted to new shortcuts in the appropriate installation folder, as shown in the following table:

Install in Moved to the corresponding InstallMate folder

Shortcut settings (Tarma QuickInstall 2)

Tarma QuickInstall 2 shortcut settings are converted to their equivalent InstallMate attributes when you open a Tarma QuickInstall 2 project. The following table shows how this conversion takes place.

Target path Shortcut target In InstallMate, you can specify any file path; the target path does not have to be a (dummy) installation file.

Icon location Icon... In InstallMate, the icon path is no longer visible, but you can still select a custom icon by clicking Icon...
Install in n/a In InstallMate, the installation folder for the shortcut is determined by the folder in which you create the shortcut. See Shortcut attributes for more information.
Languages n/a In InstallMate, the shortcut may be part of a component. The installation languages for the shortcut are determined by the component's Languages... attribute.
Run program Show No changes apart from the name.
Program group n/a In InstallMate, the installation folder for the shortcut is determined by the folder in which you create the shortcut. See above for the conversions that take place, and see Shortcut attributes for general information.
