How do I schedule a reboot at the end of the installation?
In general, you should try to avoid reboots after installation, to minimize the disruption for the user. Most installations, including those that install services, can be completed without a reboot. If you must schedule a reboot, use one of the following methods.
InstallMate automatically schedules a reboot if it must replace in-use files. Furthermore, reboots can be scheduled as follows:
- To schedule an unconditional reboot at the end of the installation, set the Installer's Reboot policy to Always reboot.
- To schedule a reboot if a particular file is installed, check the file's Reboot if installed file option.
- To schedule a reboot depending on a particular condition, set the TsuRebootRequired variable with the aid of a Set Variable action. This action can be made conditional by using the action's Condition attribute.
